This is an exciting opportunity to work on technically challenging, safety-critical projects while developing strong expertise in façade design, refurbishment, and delivery of complex residential schemes.
Since 2022, my client has been heavily involved in façade remediation projects across residential and mixed-use buildings. While these projects are driven by fire-safety compliance, they encompass all aspects of façade design and delivery, offering excellent opportunities to develop technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and experience managing multidisciplinary consultant and contractor teams.
Alongside remediation work, the practice is also delivering office retrofit schemes, new-build housing, and masterplanning projects.
The Role:
You will work closely with senior team members and external consultants, supporting projects from early concept design through to construction and completion. The role offers clear opportunities for professional growth and increasing responsibility within a collaborative studio environment.
The practice uses Revit for modelling and drawing production, and candidates should ideally have strong working knowledge of BIM workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist project architects in the design and technical delivery of façade remediation projects, with involvement in wider new-build schemes where required
- Support the practice in its role as lead designer, helping coordinate and manage the wider design team
- Assist in chairing and minuting meetings and technical workshops
- Apply knowledge of UK Building Regulations to ensure compliance throughout project stages
- Support duties associated with the Building Regulations Principal Designer role
- Engage professionally with clients, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders
- Skills & Experience Minimum three years’ relevant professional experience, ideally involving existing buildings and contractor coordination
- Experience in the technical design and delivery of UK construction projects
- Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and CDM responsibilities
- Strong technical detailing ability
- Proficiency in CAD, with BIM/Revit experience preferred
- Confident communicator with strong coordination skills
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple workstreams
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a team environment

Requirements:
