Technical Architect / Architectural Technologist – Later Living Team

My client, an award-winning, sector-leading architectural practice, is seeking experienced Technical Architects or Architectural Technologists to join their expanding Later Living team in London.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a design-focused studio delivering high-quality, sustainable architecture within the later living and care sector. The team works across all RIBA stages, with a strong emphasis on technical excellence, collaboration, and well-resolved residential design.
The role would suit a technically strong individual with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience, UK residential construction knowledge, and confidence working in Revit. You will be involved in either package lead or supporting roles across a range of complex later living schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and delivery of later living and care projects across all RIBA stages
- Lead or support technical work packages depending on experience
- Produce detailed technical drawings and coordinated construction information
- Collaborate closely with consultants, contractors, and internal design teams
- Ensure compliance with UK building regulations and housing standards
- Support the delivery of high-quality, sustainable residential schemes
- Assist in resolving technical and construction detailing challenges
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience
- Experience in UK residential construction projects
- Strong technical design and detailing capability
- Proficiency in Revit
- Understanding of UK building regulations and residential standards
- Ability to work across all RIBA stages
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Experience in later living or care projects is beneficial but not essential
