Key Responsibilities:
Project Control:
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned work packages or projects.
- Lead all RIBA Plan of Work stages 0 - 7, ensuring key project criteria are met.
- Coordinate the development and delivery of project documentation and attend relevant project meetings and presentations.
- Manage project administration, including Planning and Building Control applications, consents, and approvals.
- Ensure integration and coordination of design disciplines into overall design solutions.
Design Control:
- Lead and develop design solutions, coordinating various design elements into the overall design.
- Manage internal design reviews and ensure the alignment of structure, MEP services, and other design elements.
Commercial Control:
- Understand project resource profiles and profit targets, managing work within constraints.
- Maintain a robust audit trail for key decisions, risks, and opportunities.
- Communicate client instructions to design disciplines.
Quality Control:
- Implement the company’s Quality Management System and contribute to internal or external audits.
Team Management:
- Define and communicate team structure, roles, and responsibilities.
- Identify training needs and contribute to team reports as required.
Business Development:
- Identify marketing and business development opportunities and support bid preparation for future work.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualities Required:
- Demonstrated extensive technical knowledge and experience in architectural design.
- Sound knowledge of construction and building legislation.
- Proven ability to manage projects efficiently and profitably.
- Excellent communication skills and team leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and registration with the Architects Registration Board.
