This role is a fantastic opportunity for a BIM expert to support architectural project teams in utilizing BIM tools and workflows, particularly Autodesk Revit.
Job Summary:
The BIM Coordinator will provide technical support directly to project team members, liaise with the Senior BIM Coordinator, and ultimately report to the Technical Director (BIM). The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding the team's needs for training, workflows, or content and will come from an architectural background with strong communication skills and competencies in the following areas:
Key Responsibilities:
Management:
- Possess a working knowledge of ISO 19650 standards.
- Understand and address the information needs of clients.
- Assist in the creation and management of a BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
- Help establish the project team's Responsibility Matrix (MPDT).
- Support the population of a Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP).
- Develop and enforce a BIM modeling standard.
- Administer and manage a Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Ensure compliance with project standards and protocols.
- Chair BIM project and team meetings, providing support and training to in-house project teams.
- Maintain and deliver project BIM models, ensuring adherence to BIM standards, validation, and quality assurance processes.
- Experience with medium to large-scale complex projects within an architectural office is essential.
- Advanced understanding of volume strategies, clash avoidance strategies, issue management, and MEP & Structural coordination management is highly beneficial.
Production:
- Setup and manage in-house project models and models for the supply chain.
- Produce 3D model elements and manage model outputs.
- Assist in the preparation and management of COBie information and deliverables.
Software Expertise:
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Revit and related plugins are essential.
- Knowledge of visual scripting interfaces such as Dynamo is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in Navisworks, including running clash detection and producing clash reports, is highly beneficial.
- Experience with BIM360-based projects (Docs and Design) is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of Solibri for data and geometry checks, producing reports, and creating rules is beneficial.
- Experience with point cloud software such as ReCap Pro is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Bentley MicroStation and AECOsim is beneficial.
- Experience with issue-tracking software such as Revizto, BIMCollab, and/or BIM Track is beneficial.
- Knowledge of other software such as Rhino, Enscape, and NBS Chorus is beneficial.
- Coding experience is considered an advantage.
