My client is an established architectural and interior design practice delivering an exciting range of hospitality-led projects across the UK. Their portfolio includes hotels, pubs, restaurants, refurbishment schemes, new-build developments, and listed buildings.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join their collaborative and sociable studio team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional looking to contribute to high-quality, design-led projects within a supportive working environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in the technical design and delivery stages of projects, producing coordinated, efficient, and compliant design solutions across a diverse range of hospitality schemes.
You will work closely with the wider design team, consultants, contractors, and clients, contributing throughout the project lifecycle and helping maintain the high standards the practice is known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed and compliant drawing packages across RIBA Stages 3–5
- Support and manage technical design information across multiple projects
- Contribute to both early-stage and detailed technical delivery work
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and technical standards
- Assist in delivering projects efficiently and to a high level of technical quality
- Collaborate effectively within a studio-based and remote working environment
Requirements
- Degree-qualified Architectural Technologist
- CIAT accreditation desirable but not essential
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within UK architectural practice
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
- Excellent technical knowledge and detailing ability
- Understanding of UK Building Regulations, legislation, and construction standards
- Interest in modern methods of construction and innovative materials
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
