You will have over 10 years of professional experience, particularly in working with existing buildings. This role involves overseeing diverse and dynamic projects from initial concept through to construction completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee projects varying in scale, including interior renovations, adaptive re-use of existing buildings, sustainability upgrades, and both residential and institutional developments, from feasibility studies to construction administration.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, consultants, and the project team.
- Lead the design process, ensuring the original design intent is carried through all project phases, from schematic design to construction documentation and administration.
- Coordinate and manage all phases of project development, including existing building evaluations, design development, and production of construction documents, while supervising the project team.
- Manage bid processes and oversee construction administration services, including site visits and coordination with owners, both private and public.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience in rehabilitation projects, including interior and exterior renovations, and large-scale campus updates. Preference for candidates with multi-family residential experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage large teams and work independently.
- Proven track record in project delivery, including construction documentation and administration.
- Familiarity with the Landmarks Preservation Committee is a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of architectural practices and construction methodologies.
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainable design, with experience in resilient design and multi-family housing being advantageous.
- Experience working in New York City, with a solid understanding of Building Codes and NYC Zoning Resolution.
- Professional architectural degree from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in REVIT is essential; 3D modeling skills are a plus.
- US architectural registration is preferred.
- LEED Certification and/or Passive House Certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English and a strong client interface ability.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.

Salary:
The salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000, commensurate with experience, skills, and references.
