Architect – Low Rise (Project Lead)

My client, an award-winning architectural practice, is seeking a qualified Architect with circa 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience to join their London studio as an Architect – Low Rise (Project Lead).
This is an exciting opportunity for a design-led and technically strong architect with experience in the early design and pre-planning stages of low-rise apartment and housing schemes. You will be joining a collaborative, supportive team working on high-quality residential-led projects.
The role would suit someone confident working across both team environments and independently, with the ambition and capability to grow into a project-leading position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the design and delivery of low-rise residential schemes
- Focus on early design and pre-planning stages through to concept development
- Collaborate with consultants, clients, and internal teams to develop coordinated design solutions
- Produce high-quality design, presentation, and technical information
- Support project progression across relevant RIBA stages
- Manage elements of project delivery with increasing responsibility
Requirements
- ARB registered Architect
- Approximately 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience
- Proven experience working on low-rise residential schemes (apartments and/or housing)
- Strong experience in early design and pre-planning stages
- Excellent design and presentation skills
- Good understanding of UK planning policy and residential design principles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ambition to progress into a project lead role
