Architect – London

Technically Focussed | 4+ Years’ Experience | RIBA Chartered Practice

My client, a design-led architectural practice, is seeking a technically focussed Architect to join their growing London studio.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a range of projects, from early design development and planning applications through to detailed technical design and delivery information. You will work closely with the directors to deliver high-quality architecture and support the continued growth and reputation of the practice.

This position would particularly suit an Architect with experience in Scottish projects and/or Scottish Building Regulations, alongside strong UK residential delivery experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support directors in the delivery of high-quality design-led projects
  • Produce design, planning, and technical information across all RIBA stages
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary consultant teams
  • Support Architects and Architectural Assistants within the team
  • Contribute to the creative direction and design quality of the practice
  • Help deliver projects to key milestones and deadlines
  • Promote the values and reputation of the practice

Requirements
  • Qualified Architect with minimum 4 years’ professional experience
  • Experience working across all RIBA stages
  • Strong background in residential design and delivery
  • Experience with Scottish projects and/or Scottish Building Regulations (essential or highly desirable)
  • Confident working with external consultants and wider project teams
  • Strong technical knowledge and detailing ability
  • Proficiency in Revit with practical project experience
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign etc.)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Organised, proactive, and confident working independently and within teams

Benefits & Culture
  • Flexible working hours
  • Strong emphasis on work-life balance, including site visits and study trips
  • Annual summer trip
  • Annual Christmas party
  • Regular team social events throughout the year
  • RIBA pension scheme
  • Early finish on Fridays
  • Clear opportunities for career development and progression

This is a great opportunity for a technically strong Architect looking to take a key role within a growing, design-focused practice delivering high-quality residential projects.

Where we indicate a band of PQE for a role, this indicates how long we would expect an architectural professional to take to gain the level of experience required in an appropriate context. It does not preclude applications from those with more or less PQE who can demonstrate that they have acquired the relevant experience.
