I am currently partnering with a renowned, AJ100 London architecture practice to find a high-caliber ARB Architect (or Architectural Designer).
This firm is celebrated for its sophisticated design language and its ability to deliver complex, large-scale projects that actually get built.
They have just secured a major pipeline of work in the Student Accommodation (PBSA) sector and are looking for a technical powerhouse who can navigate the nuances of the Scottish Building Standards while based in their central London studio.
The Role:
End-to-End Delivery This isn’t a role for someone who only wants to do "the pretty bits." My client needs an Architect who is comfortable across the full RIBA Plan of Work (Stages 0–7).
You will be expected to:
Lead design development from initial feasibility.
Navigate complex planning applications (with a specific focus on Scottish frameworks).
Produce comprehensive technical packages and manage on-site delivery.
What I’m Looking For:
ARB registration and degree in Architecture (or equivalent)
Post-Part 3 Experience: A minimum of 1 year (UK-based) is essential to hit the ground running.
Sector Knowledge: Significant experience in Student Accommodation or large-scale residential/mixed-use projects.
The "Scottish Factor": Deep working knowledge of Scottish Building Regulations is a major advantage for this specific project pipeline.
Technical Chops: Proficiency in Revit is a non-negotiable; you should be comfortable working in a BIM-heavy environment.
Why This Firm?
As a recruiter, I see a lot of studios, but this one stands out. They offer a rare blend of high-profile design prestige and a genuinely collaborative culture.
Growth: They have a proven track record of promoting from within.
Projects: You’ll be working on "legacy" projects that define urban landscapes.
Package: Competitive salary, bonus scheme, enhanced annual leave and flexible working
Let’s Talk If you are a London-based Architect with a background in large-scale projects and a firm grasp of Scottish regulations, I want to hear from you.
To apply: Please send your CV and a sample portfolio.
If you meet the criteria listed above, please apply with a copy of your CV by pressing the apply button to be considered. We receive many applications so if you do not hear from us within 5 days, please consider your application unsuccessful this time. We will keep a copy of your details on file for future vacancies.
In accordance with GDPR, by applying for this position you give us your consent to process your data in-line with our Privacy and Data Protection Policies which can be read on the privacy policy page on our website.
*Where we indicate a band of PQE for a role, this indicates how long we would expect an architectural professional to take to gain the level of experience required in an appropriate context. It does not preclude applications from those with more or less PQE who can demonstrate that they have acquired the relevant experience.
